Fatim Cissé Advancing Digital Leadership and Telecom Infrastructure in Africa

Fatim Cissé is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DUX Côte d’Ivoire and the Director General of IHS Towers Côte d’Ivoire, where she leads one of the country’s most critical telecom infrastructure operations. Through strategic leadership and technological foresight, Fatim has emerged as a defining force in Africa’s digital transformation landscape, combining expertise in artificial intelligence, corporate governance, and large-scale infrastructure management.

With an academic foundation rooted in economics and management, Fatim earned her degree from the Université de Montréal and later completed a Master’s at HEC Montréal. Her executive development includes programs at Harvard Business School and the Yale School of Management. In 2019, Fatim became the first Ivorian woman to complete an Executive Program in Artificial Intelligence at Singularity University in Silicon Valley, a milestone that strengthened her commitment to positioning Africa within the global technology conversation.

Fatim’s professional journey spans international and African markets. She previously held senior leadership roles at Ericsson and IHS Towers before founding DUX in 2018, a technology and advisory firm supporting African organisations in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and data strategy. In 2020, she returned to IHS Towers to lead its Côte d’Ivoire operations, becoming the first woman to head the company in the country. Under her leadership, the organisation has reinforced its role in expanding connectivity and strengthening telecom infrastructure to support economic growth.

Fatim’s influence has earned notable recognitions. In 2019, she was decorated as a Knight in the National Order of Côte d’Ivoire. She was listed in the inaugural Who’s Who in Côte d’Ivoire rankings in 2019 and 2020, and in 2021 she was named among the Choiseul 100 Africa, recognising young leaders shaping the continent’s future. In 2023, she received the Prix d’Excellence de la Meilleure Initiative Numérique Féminine for her contribution to digital innovation and women’s empowerment.

Looking ahead, Fatim Cissé remains focused on scaling digital capabilities across African enterprises while strengthening telecommunications infrastructure as a backbone for inclusive development. Her leadership reflects a powerful blend of innovation, strategic execution, and social impact, positioning her as one of the continent’s most influential voices in technology and infrastructure advancement.
