Meet Fisayo Longe The Fashion Entrepreneur Redefining Global Style Through Kai Collective

Fisayo Longe is a British Nigerian entrepreneur, fashion designer, and business leader best known as the Founder and CEO of Kai Collective, a London based womenswear brand celebrated for creating attainable fashion with luxury aesthetics. Through bold designs, community driven branding, and a commitment to empowering women, she has transformed Kai Collective from a startup into one of the most recognizable independent fashion brands founded by an African entrepreneur.

Raised in Lagos, Nigeria, before moving to the United Kingdom as a teenager, Longe developed an early passion for fashion, travel, and storytelling. She initially pursued a career in accounting, working at KPMG, while also building a successful fashion and travel blog called Mirror Me. Her experiences traveling across different countries and collecting fabrics inspired her vision of creating a fashion brand that would offer unique, statement making pieces while remaining accessible to women worldwide.

In 2016, she launched Kai Collective, a brand intentionally designed to help women feel confident, powerful, and expressive. The company quickly gained attention for its distinctive prints, vibrant aesthetics, and inclusive approach to fashion. Over time, Kai Collective developed a loyal global customer base and became known for producing some of the most sought after contemporary womenswear pieces in the digital fashion space.

A major breakthrough came in 2020 when the brand’s now iconic Gaia dress went viral internationally. The design attracted widespread attention from fashion enthusiasts, influencers, and celebrities, helping propel Kai Collective into the global spotlight. The success of the collection demonstrated Longe’s ability to merge creative design with powerful digital marketing and community engagement strategies.

Her entrepreneurial achievements have earned significant international recognition. In 2021, Fisayo Longe was named to the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe List in the Art & Culture category, recognizing her impact on fashion and entrepreneurship. Forbes highlighted her success in building Kai Collective into a thriving business while inspiring women through fashion and financial independence.

Beyond fashion, Longe has established herself as a respected speaker, mentor, and advocate for entrepreneurship. Through initiatives such as Many Mentors, she shares business insights and supports aspiring entrepreneurs seeking to launch creative ventures. She has also collaborated with global brands including Nike, Google, Lancôme, Shopify, Aldo, and ASOS, further expanding her influence beyond the fashion industry.

Her impact extends into philanthropy as well. Kai Collective has supported organizations such as the Mirabel Centre and STER in Nigeria, which provide medical and psychological support services to survivors of domestic violence. This commitment to social impact reflects her belief that business success should be accompanied by meaningful contributions to society.

Today, Fisayo Longe is widely regarded as one of the most influential fashion entrepreneurs of her generation. By combining creativity, business acumen, and cultural authenticity, she has built a brand that resonates with women across continents while showcasing the power of African inspired entrepreneurship on the global stage. As Kai Collective continues to grow internationally, Longe remains a leading voice shaping the future of fashion, business, and female empowerment.
