Sahifoulaye Kone Shaping Digital Advertising and Media Innovation in Côte d’Ivoire

Sahifoulaye Kone is a leading figure in Côte d’Ivoire’s media and advertising landscape, recognized for his strategic vision, leadership, and commitment to digital transformation. With over two decades of experience spanning telecommunications, broadcasting, and marketing, he has played a pivotal role in modernizing how media organizations connect with audiences and brands in West Africa.

Sahifoulaye began his career at Côte d’Ivoire Telecom in 2000, taking on roles across sales, sponsorship management, and operations. These early experiences provided him with a solid foundation in commercial strategy and partnership development. He later broadened his expertise internationally with Orange Group in Paris, contributing to external communications and strengthening organizational outreach strategies.

In 2014, Sahifoulaye joined the Radiodiffusion Télévision Ivoirienne (RTI), the nation’s public broadcaster, where he oversaw digital strategy and marketing communications. As Director of RTI Digital and later Director of Group Marketing and Communication, he championed innovative content strategies, enhanced audience engagement, and strengthened multimedia communications. His leadership in digital transformation and content innovation earned him recognition at the Prix d’Excellence awards in 2023 for outstanding contributions to media and communication in Côte d’Ivoire.

In February 2024, he assumed the role of Director General of Canal+ Advertising Côte d’Ivoire, leading the group’s advertising strategy and operations across television and digital platforms. In this role, Sahifoulaye drives integrated advertising solutions that connect brands with audiences in meaningful and impactful ways, combining creativity with data-driven insights. His appointment underscores his reputation as a strategic leader capable of guiding media organisations through the digital era.

Beyond his executive responsibilities, Sahifoulaye is a mentor and influencer within Côte d’Ivoire’s marketing and communications community. He is recognised for cultivating talent, promoting industry best practices, and fostering innovation that elevates local and regional standards. His work exemplifies how thoughtful leadership and digital expertise can transform organisations and shape the broader communications ecosystem.
