Dr. Tochukwu MacFoy, widely known as Dr. Foy, is a Nigerian medical doctor, media strategist, entrepreneur, and cultural innovator whose work has helped shape the modern AfroGospel movement. As the CEO and Founder of Energize Central, Energize Music, Same Energy Agency, and Energize Fest, he has become one of the leading voices building platforms that connect faith, music, creativity, and youth culture across Africa and beyond.

Trained as a medical doctor, Dr. Foy began his professional journey in healthcare, practicing at the Military Hospital in Yaba, Lagos. While medicine provided him with a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing young people and communities, his passion increasingly gravitated toward media, storytelling, and cultural influence. Recognizing the power of communication as a tool for transformation, he began exploring opportunities beyond clinical practice, seeking ways to impact lives at scale through content, entertainment, and social engagement.
His transition into media saw him work as a television host, scriptwriter, content creator, and producer at Cool TV, which later evolved into Wazobia TV. During this period, he developed expertise in broadcasting, audience engagement, and content production, building the foundation for what would become a distinguished career in media and brand development. His growing reputation for innovation and strategic thinking eventually led him to Viacom West Africa, where he served as Head of Partnerships and Marketing. In that role, he contributed to the growth and visibility of globally recognized media brands including MTV, BET, Nickelodeon, and Comedy Central across the African market.

Armed with experience spanning healthcare, media, marketing, and partnerships, Dr. Foy launched Same Energy Agency, a creative consultancy focused on helping brands, creators, and organizations leverage storytelling, culture, and community building to drive meaningful engagement. The agency has become known for its work at the intersection of creativity, culture, and strategic communications, helping amplify voices and movements across multiple sectors.
His most visible impact, however, has come through his leadership within the AfroGospel ecosystem. Through Energize Music, Dr. Foy has built one of the most influential communities supporting the growth of AfroGospel artists and creatives. The platform has helped spotlight and amplify talents including Greatman Takit, TY Bello, XADE, Sal Ly, DANAD, Ellie Scotte, Hope Nwani, and many others, contributing significantly to the visibility of faith inspired contemporary African music.

Beyond artist development, Dr. Foy has co-championed some of the most notable gatherings within the AfroGospel space, including Energize Fest, AfroGospel Night, AfroGospel Rave, Energize Music Lagos Camp, Abuja Camp, Ghana Camp, Kingdom Creative Academy, and now NEXT. These platforms have become important hubs for collaboration, mentorship, worship, innovation, and community building, attracting thousands of young people and creatives seeking to merge faith with excellence in music, media, and entrepreneurship.
What distinguishes Dr. Foy is his ability to bridge multiple worlds. His background in medicine, combined with his expertise in media and passion for youth development, has enabled him to approach cultural transformation from a unique perspective. He has been named among the Global 100 African creatives and has consistently advocated for proactive influence, believing that storytelling, music, and positive representation can play a critical role in shaping healthier, purpose driven societies.
Looking ahead, Dr. Foy remains committed to building ecosystems that nurture talent, elevate African stories, and inspire the next generation of innovators. His journey reflects the power of combining purpose, creativity, and strategic vision to create lasting impact across industries and communities.
