Deola Art Alade – Redefining Africa’s Creative and Entertainment Landscape

In an industry where innovation and resilience often determine success, Deola Art Alade stands out as one of Africa’s most dynamic creative leaders. A designer, entrepreneur, producer, and entertainment executive, she has built a career that bridges artistry and business strategy, shaping how live experiences, festivals, and media productions are delivered across Nigeria and beyond.

As the Group CEO of Livespot360, a leading creative solutions and experiential agency, Deola has been instrumental in transforming ideas into world-class productions. From major festivals to reality television formats, she continues to raise the bar, making African content not just locally relevant but globally competitive.

Building a Creative Empire

Deola’s career has spanned multiple ventures that highlight her multifaceted approach to the creative economy. She has founded and led businesses including Soul Muzik, a record label and entertainment company, Rent-A-Rig, a technical equipment rental service, and Design Studeo, which underscores her roots in design. At Livespot360, she oversees integrated projects that blend technology, storytelling, and cultural resonance.

Her portfolio includes some of Nigeria’s most memorable productions: Entertainment Week Lagos (EWL), which gathers creatives, brands, and innovators; large-scale festivals such as the Born in Africa Festival (BAFEST) and Livespot X Festival; immersive shows like Love Like a Movie; and acclaimed television productions including The Voice Nigeria and The Real Housewives of Lagos. Each of these projects reflects her talent for turning ambitious visions into transformative experiences.

Leadership, Values, and Mentorship

Despite her high-profile role, Deola is known for preferring to work behind the scenes, letting her work speak louder than personal acclaim. Her leadership style is anchored in integrity, sincerity, and excellence, qualities she believes outlast fleeting success. “Money doesn’t move me as much as principles do,” she once remarked, reflecting her long-term approach to creative impact.

A committed advocate of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), she has embedded these values into the fabric of her companies. Through initiatives like the EWL “Deal Room,” she ensures young creatives and startups have access to mentorship, opportunities, and partnerships. Many of her former team members have gone on to lead thriving organizations, a testament to her investment in talent development.

Global Recognition and Influence

Deola’s influence extends far beyond Nigeria. In 2025, she was inducted into the Recording Academy’s New Member Class, giving her a voice in the Grammy Awards voting process. This recognition cements her status as a global player in the entertainment industry.

Her work has also been recognized at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), particularly in costume design for The Real Housewives of Lagos, alongside other accolades that celebrate her creativity and business leadership.

Facing Challenges, Shaping the Future

The journey has not been without challenges. Deola has often spoken about the hurdles facing Nigeria’s creative industry, including funding constraints, inadequate infrastructure, and cultural biases. Yet, she continues to navigate these obstacles with resilience, expanding the reach of African storytelling and cultural experiences.

Looking ahead, her vision is clear: to continue scaling globally competitive projects, grow the African creative economy, and build platforms that nurture emerging talent. For Deola Art Alade, the goal is not just to entertain but to leave a legacy that empowers future generations of African creatives to thrive on the world stage.
