African Energy Week (AEW) 2026 will take place from 12 to 16 October 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa, bringing together policymakers, global investors, energy executives, development institutions, and industry leaders for five days of high-level engagement. Recognised as Africa’s premier energy investment platform, the conference is designed to accelerate policy dialogue, facilitate dealmaking, and unlock new opportunities across the continent’s energy value chain.
Under the banner “Shaping the Future of African Energy” and the broader campaign “Invest in African Energies: Affordable and Abundant Energy Additions,” AEW 2026 will examine the critical issues influencing Africa’s energy landscape, including upstream oil and gas, power generation, renewable energy, critical minerals, infrastructure development, and energy financing. The event is expected to attract more than 9,000 delegates, 400 industry speakers, 300 ministers and government officials, and representatives from over 1,500 companies worldwide.
The conference will feature ministerial forums, investor roundtables, technical sessions, country investment spotlights, exhibitions, and high profile networking events aimed at connecting governments with international capital and industry expertise. By bringing together stakeholders from across the public and private sectors, AEW continues to serve as a catalyst for strategic partnerships and investment decisions that advance Africa’s energy ambitions.
As Africa seeks to expand energy access, strengthen industrialisation, and position itself as a key player in global energy markets, African Energy Week 2026 provides a platform for translating policy into action. The event reinforces the continent’s commitment to building a secure, diversified, and investment driven energy future while promoting African led solutions to global energy challenges.
