The Global Off Grid Solar Forum and Expo 2026 will take place from 27 to 29 October 2026 at the Kigali Convention Centre in Kigali, Rwanda, bringing together more than 1,200 leaders from across the global energy access ecosystem. Jointly hosted by GOGLA and the World Bank’s Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP), the forum is recognised as the leading international platform for advancing distributed renewable energy solutions and expanding access to electricity in underserved communities.
The three day event will convene governments, investors, development finance institutions, energy companies, policymakers, innovators, and development partners to address the critical issues shaping the future of off grid energy. Discussions will focus on mobilising investment, strengthening policy frameworks, scaling distributed renewable energy technologies, and accelerating progress toward universal energy access across Africa and other emerging markets.
Beyond policy dialogue, the forum will feature a comprehensive exhibition, high level conference sessions, business matchmaking, and networking opportunities designed to connect industry leaders with investors and strategic partners. Participants will explore innovative financing models, market expansion strategies, and technologies that support off grid solar, mini grids, clean cooking, e mobility, and productive use energy solutions.
As Africa continues to pursue inclusive economic growth and universal electrification, the Global Off Grid Solar Forum and Expo 2026 provides a vital platform for translating ambition into action. By fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors, the event aims to accelerate investment, strengthen energy resilience, and unlock the transformative potential of clean, affordable, and reliable energy for communities across the continent.
