Yanmo Omorogbe Expanding Global Investment Access and Driving Fintech Innovation in Africa

Yanmo Omorogbe is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Bamboo, a fast-growing digital investment platform enabling Africans to access and invest in global financial markets. As a fintech leader and investment professional, Yanmo Omorogbe has emerged as a key figure in democratizing wealth creation, breaking down barriers that have historically limited Africans from participating in international capital markets.

Yanmo Omorogbe’s journey is anchored in a strong academic and analytical foundation. She studied Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, where she developed a rigorous problem-solving mindset that would later define her approach to business and finance. Her early career included roles as an investment analyst and associate at African Infrastructure Investment Managers, where she gained hands-on experience in private equity and large-scale infrastructure investments across Africa.

A defining moment in Yanmo Omorogbe’s career came from a personal challenge. Experiencing firsthand the difficulty of investing in foreign stocks from Nigeria, she co-founded Bamboo in 2019 alongside Richmond Bassey to bridge that gap. The platform allows users to buy, sell, and hold U.S. stocks and other global assets directly from their mobile devices, opening up access to wealth building opportunities previously out of reach for many Africans.

At the core of Yanmo Omorogbe’s leadership is operational excellence and strategic growth. As Chief Operating Officer, she oversees product development, customer experience, and risk management, playing a central role in scaling Bamboo into one of Nigeria’s most prominent fintech platforms. Since its launch, the company has attracted significant venture capital backing and continues to expand its offerings, positioning itself as a gateway for African participation in global finance.

Yanmo Omorogbe’s impact extends beyond business into financial inclusion and empowerment. Her work is helping to reshape how Africans perceive investing, shifting it from an exclusive activity to an accessible pathway for wealth creation. She has also contributed to national conversations on economic development, participating in high level forums such as the Nigerian Economic Summit, where she advocates for broader access to financial opportunities.

Looking ahead, Yanmo Omorogbe remains focused on expanding access to global markets while building tools that empower individuals to take control of their financial futures. Her vision is rooted in inclusion, innovation, and long term value creation, positioning her as part of a new generation of African leaders transforming the continent’s financial landscape through technology and bold thinking.
