Singapore Auctions Seized Rolls Royce and Porsche Collection From Major Money Laundering Case

Singapore has begun auctioning a collection of luxury vehicles seized during the country’s largest money laundering investigation, offering 47 high end cars that include 11 Rolls Royce models, multiple Porsche sports cars, Ferraris, Bentleys and McLarens. According to Bloomberg and The Strait Times, the vehicles were confiscated following Singapore’s S$3 billion ($2.2 billion) anti money laundering operation launched in 2023, which led to the conviction of 10 foreign nationals and the forfeiture of billions of dollars in assets linked to illicit gambling proceeds. The closed bid auction is being managed by Sgcarmart Quotz, with bids closing in early August.

The collection features premium models including the Rolls Royce Cullinan, Phantom, Dawn, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, F8 Spider, Bentley Flying Spur, and several Porsche 911 variants. Many of the vehicles have exceptionally low mileage but have remained unused for nearly three years, requiring maintenance such as battery and tyre replacements before returning to the road. The Singapore government is disposing of the assets after courts ordered their forfeiture, with proceeds expected to be returned to the state following the conclusion of legal proceedings.

The auction highlights Singapore’s aggressive approach to combating financial crime and recovering illicit assets while reinforcing its reputation as one of Asia’s strictest financial centres. For businesses and investors, the sale demonstrates how asset recovery has become an important component of anti money laundering enforcement, while also returning high value assets to the market through a transparent disposal process. The case prompted Singapore to tighten due diligence requirements for luxury goods dealers, property agents and other high value sectors vulnerable to financial crime.

Looking ahead, the auction is expected to attract collectors, dealers and luxury vehicle investors seeking rare automobiles at potentially competitive prices. The disposal also marks another milestone in Singapore’s efforts to conclude one of the largest asset recovery operations in its history while strengthening confidence in the country’s financial integrity and regulatory framework.
