Rolls-Royce unveils ultra-exclusive Black Badge Cullinan art series with Cyril Kongo

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has revealed a highly exclusive collection of five Black Badge Cullinan models created in collaboration with renowned French artist Cyril Kongo, transforming the luxury SUV into a moving contemporary art masterpiece through one of the company’s most ambitious bespoke design projects to date, as reported by Yahoo News.

The limited-edition series combines Rolls-Royce craftsmanship with Kongo’s vibrant artistic identity, resulting in interiors inspired by what the artist describes as the “Kongoverse” — a surreal visual world featuring fantasy-inspired imagery, mathematical symbols, atoms, pyramids, planets, and abstract storytelling elements. Rolls-Royce confirmed that each of the five vehicles was individually designed, ensuring every model remains entirely unique.

Kongo, internationally recognised for his graffiti art and collaborations across fashion, aviation, and luxury design, reportedly worked closely with Rolls-Royce artisans at the company’s Goodwood headquarters in England throughout the development process. Industry observers say the partnership represents one of the most immersive artist collaborations undertaken by the luxury automaker in recent years.

Luxury analysts note that bespoke collaborations are becoming increasingly important within the ultra-luxury automotive sector as wealthy buyers seek exclusivity, personal expression, and collectible craftsmanship beyond traditional vehicle ownership. They add that projects such as the Black Badge Cullinan series continue blurring the lines between automotive engineering, luxury design, and contemporary art culture.
