Irédire: Bringing Nigerian Adire into the Modern Woman’s Wardrobe

Irédire is a Nigerian womenswear brand founded in 2019 by entrepreneur Adebola Adefila, built around the belief that Adire should be part of everyday dressing rather than reserved for special occasions. The brand reinterprets traditional Yoruba resist dyed textiles through contemporary silhouettes, creating dresses, coordinated sets, blouses, trousers and other versatile pieces that balance cultural heritage with modern functionality. Its signature prints are developed and hand dyed in its own studio, giving the collections a distinctive identity rooted in Nigerian craftsmanship.

From relaxed everyday outfits to more expressive statement pieces, Irédire prioritises comfort, practicality and individuality, designing clothes suited to professional settings, social gatherings and daily life. The brand operates from the Irédire Residence in Maitama, Abuja, a flagship space that also hosts intimate gatherings and creative pop ups. By making traditional Adire more accessible to contemporary wardrobes, Irédire celebrates Nigerian textile heritage through fashion designed for the rhythm of modern living.
