Future Cities Summit 2026 to Drive Sustainable Urban Transformation in Lagos

The Future Cities Summit 2026 (FCS 2026) will return to Lagos, Nigeria, from 14 to 16 July 2026 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, bringing together policymakers, urban planners, investors, and sustainability leaders to advance the future of African cities. Convened by the Green Building Council Nigeria, the summit is positioned as a key platform for accelerating inclusive and environmentally responsible urban development.

Held under the theme “Building the Future: Scaling Sustainability for Greener Cities,” the summit will focus on practical pathways to achieving sustainable urban growth. Discussions will center on green building practices, innovative financing models, policy implementation, and scalable solutions that address the realities of rapidly expanding cities across Africa.

The event will also highlight collaboration between public and private sector stakeholders, with strategic partners including Mixta Africa, Kohler Africa, Saint-Gobain Nigeria, Nairda Limited, and Alitheia Capital. Their involvement underscores the importance of cross sector partnerships in delivering sustainable infrastructure and resilient urban systems.

Structured across focused sessions, the summit will examine governance frameworks, market dynamics, and delivery mechanisms required to scale sustainability. With free registration available, the Future Cities Summit 2026 offers a valuable opportunity for stakeholders to engage in actionable dialogue, build partnerships, and contribute to shaping greener, more resilient cities across the continent.
