Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo has announced Jagun Jagun 2: War of Warriors, the highly anticipated sequel to his 2023 epic film, with a Netflix premiere scheduled for December 4, 2026. The announcement, made through a teaser shared on social media, comes less than a week after Adebayo commissioned the Euphoria360 Hub, his new film and media production facility in Oregun, Lagos. According to Legit.ng, the filmmaker accompanied the announcement with a cryptic message centred on war, fear, power and legacy, signalling another large-scale historical production aimed at audiences in Nigeria and beyond.
The new project builds on the success of Jagun Jagun, which helped strengthen Adebayo’s profile as a filmmaker capable of delivering Yoruba-language historical dramas with international streaming appeal. His previous productions, including King of Thieves and Seven Doors, have also expanded his footprint in Nigeria’s film industry. In a report published on October 11, Tribune Online noted that the title War of Warriors, shortened to WOW, was inspired by the enthusiastic reactions to his recent films. Adebayo explained that the recurring use of “WOW” in audience feedback prompted him to develop the phrase into the title of his next production, turning public appreciation into a creative idea.
The Netflix announcement follows the October 6 launch of Euphoria360 Hub, a facility designed to support film production, post-production, content creation and professional training. The complex houses production studios, editing and sound facilities, event spaces and the Euphoria360 Film Academy, extending Adebayo’s work beyond acting and filmmaking into creative infrastructure. The launch, commissioned by Lagos State Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, attracted several figures from the entertainment industry. With War of Warriors scheduled for release in December, Adebayo is pursuing two complementary ambitions: developing commercially competitive Nigerian films for global audiences and building facilities that can support the next generation of local filmmakers.
