Canada Invests $30 Million in Ghana’s TVET Reforms to Boost Youth Employability

Ghana is set to benefit from a $30 million investment from the Canadian government aimed at reforming technical and vocational education and training (TVET) to improve youth employability, according to Business Insider Africa.

The funding will support curriculum modernization, teacher training, and the integration of digital skills into vocational programs. Officials noted that the initiative is part of a broader effort to equip Ghanaian youth with the skills needed to thrive in a competitive labor market, as reported by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).

Education sector experts highlighted that the partnership seeks to align Ghana’s TVET programs with industry demands, enhancing opportunities for graduates in sectors such as manufacturing, ICT, and renewable energy, according to Ghana Business News.
