Louis Vuitton to Revive Classic Car Rally Ahead of Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix

Louis Vuitton is set to revive its historic classic car rally in Italy ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix, blending luxury, heritage, and motorsport as the fashion house deepens its partnership with Formula 1. According to WWD, the four-day rally will run from September 1 to 4, beginning at Villa Pisani near Venice before concluding at the legendary Autodromo Nazionale Monza, where participating vintage automobiles will parade on the circuit ahead of the Grand Prix weekend.

The rally revives a tradition first established by Louis Vuitton in the early 20th century, when the Maison organized automotive tours celebrating craftsmanship, travel, and innovation. The 2026 edition will feature a curated collection of rare classic automobiles travelling through northern Italy, with exclusive stops showcasing the country’s cultural heritage before culminating in Monza. WWD reported that the event forms part of Louis Vuitton’s expanding presence in Formula 1 following parent company LVMH’s landmark global partnership with the championship, under which the luxury brand creates bespoke trophy trunks for selected Grands Prix.

The Monza celebration is expected to bring together collectors, racing enthusiasts, luxury clients, and international guests, reinforcing the connection between automotive excellence and high fashion. The initiative also reflects Louis Vuitton’s broader strategy of creating immersive experiences that extend beyond traditional runway presentations, using sport, travel, and culture to engage global audiences.

For Louis Vuitton, the revival of the classic car rally highlights the Maison’s continued investment in experiential luxury and its growing role within the global motorsport ecosystem. Analysts say the event strengthens the brand’s association with innovation, craftsmanship, and elite sporting events while reinforcing Formula 1’s appeal as a platform for premium lifestyle and luxury partnerships.
