Leo Stan Ekeh Driving Africa’s Technology Revolution and Digital Enterprise

Leo Stan Ekeh is the Founder and Chairman of Zinox Group, one of Africa’s pioneering technology conglomerates, and a widely respected entrepreneur who has played a transformative role in Nigeria’s information technology industry. Known for his visionary leadership and commitment to digital empowerment, Leo Stan Ekeh has spent decades building technology platforms that expand access to computing, digital services, and enterprise solutions across Nigeria and the broader African market.

Leo Stan Ekeh’s journey into technology leadership began with a strong academic and entrepreneurial foundation. He studied Economics at Punjab University in India, where he developed a keen interest in the emerging global technology landscape. Returning to Nigeria in the late 1980s, he began building businesses that would eventually evolve into the Zinox Group. His early ventures laid the groundwork for what would become one of Nigeria’s most influential indigenous technology companies.

Under Leo Stan Ekeh’s leadership, Zinox Technologies became the first Nigerian computer manufacturer to achieve international quality certification and helped pioneer local computer assembly in the country. Through Zinox Group, he also launched several major digital platforms including Konga, one of Nigeria’s leading e commerce companies, and TD Africa, a technology distribution powerhouse that supplies hardware and digital solutions across multiple African markets. These initiatives have contributed significantly to Nigeria’s digital infrastructure while creating thousands of jobs across the technology ecosystem.

Leo Stan Ekeh’s impact has been widely recognised both nationally and internationally. In 2003 he received the Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic national honour from the Federal Government of Nigeria in recognition of his contributions to the development of the country’s technology sector. He has also received numerous industry recognitions for entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital transformation, reflecting his role as a pioneer of indigenous technology development in Africa.

Looking ahead, Leo Stan Ekeh remains committed to strengthening Africa’s digital economy through innovation, infrastructure development, and technology entrepreneurship.
