Earlier in her career, she held strategic roles at Barclays Bank Ghana (now Absa Bank Ghana) and Ecobank Ghana, gaining extensive experience in sales, relationship management, product development, and business strategy. This diverse banking background has equipped her with deep expertise in building high-performing teams and delivering customer-focused financial solutions.

As CEO of First National Bank Ghana, Sylvia has championed a strategy centered on digital transformation, responsible banking, and enterprise development. Under her leadership, the bank has strengthened its position within Ghana’s competitive financial sector by expanding innovative banking solutions for individuals, entrepreneurs, and corporate clients.
