Porsche is deepening its push into artificial intelligence through a five year partnership with India’s Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) valued at €1.25 billion ($1.46 billion), covering AI deployment across engineering, manufacturing, operations, customer experience and enterprise transformation, as reported by Bloomberg and The Hindu. The agreement comes alongside TCS’s planned acquisition of Porsche’s management and IT consultancy MHP for an enterprise value of €320 million.
Under the partnership, TCS and MHP will help Porsche industrialise AI at scale, while developing next generation automotive technology and software defined mobility platforms. MHP, which employs more than 4,500 people globally, will become part of TCS but retain its brand and operate as an independent consultancy.
The deal comes as Porsche sharpens its focus on its core sports car business while facing pressure from Chinese competitors, tariffs, rising electric vehicle costs and the broader transformation of the automotive industry. For TCS, the acquisition gives it deeper automotive expertise and a stronger platform for expanding AI and digital transformation services in a sector increasingly defined by software and data.
For India’s technology sector, the partnership represents another major vote of confidence in the country’s ability to provide advanced AI and engineering services to global manufacturers. TCS, which generated more than $30 billion in revenue in fiscal 2026, is increasingly positioning itself as an AI led technology company, making the Porsche agreement a potentially significant showcase for its strategy.
