Musiliu Haruna Ishola, Terry Apala and Ice Prince Set for Felabration 2026

Nigerian music stars Musiliu Haruna Ishola, Terry Apala and Ice Prince are among the artistes scheduled to perform at Felabration 2026, the annual festival celebrating the life, music and legacy of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. The week-long event will run from October 12 to 18 at the New Afrika Shrine in Ikeja, Lagos, under the theme “Who Are You”. According to the Federal Government’s Voice of Nigeria, this year’s programme will combine live performances with cultural activities designed to celebrate Fela’s influence on Nigerian music, politics and creative expression.

The headline performers include Femi Kuti and The Positive Force, Made Kuti, and Seun Kuti and Egypt 80, continuing the Kuti family’s central role in preserving and extending Fela’s musical legacy. Other artistes on the announced lineup include Atawewe, Slimcase, Kleva Jay, Ceeza Milli, T.Classic, Sunkey Snoop, Soundboi and Labule. The mix brings together traditional Nigerian sounds, street-pop and contemporary Afrobeats, reflecting the festival’s broad musical reach. Voice of Nigeria reported that organisers expect further performers to be announced.

Beyond its concerts, Felabration will feature activities spanning fashion, art, dance and public discussions. The Dress Fela fashion show is scheduled as part of the programme, highlighting the enduring influence of the musician’s distinctive style on contemporary African fashion. Yeni Kuti, co-manager of the New Afrika Shrine and a key figure in the festival’s organisation, has described Felabration as an important platform for promoting Nigerian culture. Established in 1998, the festival has grown into a major annual gathering for fans and artists, connecting new generations with Fela’s music, political convictions and lasting contribution to African cultural identity.
