Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Youth Development has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the UAE Digital School, an initiative under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative, to expand access to digital learning for millions of young Nigerians. The agreement, signed in Dubai, will integrate modern digital curricula and skill-building programmes into the Nigerian Youth Academy. This was reported by ThisDay.

Youth Development Minister Ayodele Olawande said the partnership represents a commitment to equip Nigerian youth with the tools needed to participate confidently in the global digital economy, as highlighted in his remarks covered by ThisDay. The UAE Digital School, led by Dr Waleed Al Ali, will provide technical support, training infrastructure, and digital learning platforms, according to details published by AllAfrica.

The collaboration also aligns with broader government efforts to deepen innovation and enterprise among young people. According to the Federal Ministry of Information, the agreement supports new initiatives in artificial intelligence learning, business process outsourcing, startup incubation, and remote work opportunities.
