Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced a three night concert residency at the National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos, scheduled for 17 to 19 December 2026. Dubbed “Oriadé: The Residency,” the concerts will mark a significant homecoming for the singer as he celebrates 15 years in the music industry. Davido announced the residency on 18 September, describing the Lagos shows as a return home after years of performing on major stages around the world.
The three night run will feature music from Davido’s latest album, Oriadé, alongside selections from across his career. The residency is expected to blend new material with some of the songs that have defined his journey in Afrobeats, with special guests also anticipated across the three nights. The concerts will take place during Nigeria’s busy December entertainment season, placing one of the country’s biggest music stars at one of its most significant cultural venues.
The announcement also carries significance for the National Theatre, which has undergone a major restoration and returned to hosting cultural and entertainment events. Davido’s residency will make him the first Afrobeats artist to hold a residency at the venue, adding another chapter to the historic relationship between Nigerian music and the country’s foremost performing arts institution.
For Davido, the December residency represents both a celebration of his 15 year musical journey and an opportunity to reconnect with his home audience through a dedicated live experience. Oriadé: The Residency is scheduled for 17, 18 and 19 December 2026, with presale access announced ahead of general ticket sales scheduled for 25 September.
