Apple has officially brought Apple TV to Nigeria for the first time, giving Nigerian viewers access to the company’s streaming service through an expanded iCloud+ subscription starting at ₦1,300 per month. According to Apple, the new offering began rolling out in September 2026 and gives iCloud+ subscribers access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional cost beyond their iCloud+ subscription. The move expands Apple TV to 170 countries globally and introduces Nigerian consumers to Apple Originals including Ted Lasso, Severance, The Studio, Slow Horses, The Morning Show and Oscar winning films such as CODA. Apple said the expanded service is part of a broader rollout covering more than 100 countries and regions.
The Apple TV Nigeria price starts at ₦1,300 monthly for the 50GB iCloud+ plan, with users able to select higher storage tiers. Apple has also confirmed that Apple TV and Apple Arcade will no longer be offered as standalone subscriptions in Nigeria, meaning the services will be accessed through the expanded iCloud+ package. Subscribers can use Apple TV across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android devices, smart TVs, gaming consoles and the web, while Apple Arcade provides access to more than 200 games. Apple also said Family Sharing allows an iCloud+ subscription to be shared with up to five family members. The Apple TV platform continues to add new films and series weekly, strengthening its position in the increasingly competitive global streaming market.
The Apple TV launch in Nigeria expands the country’s premium streaming market while giving Apple a new route into Nigeria’s rapidly growing digital entertainment economy. The company’s decision to bundle Apple TV with iCloud+ at a relatively accessible entry price could broaden adoption among Nigerian consumers already using Apple devices and services. For Apple, the Nigerian launch also creates an opportunity to deepen its wider services business beyond hardware, particularly through recurring subscriptions, digital entertainment and cloud storage. Nigerian viewers can now access Apple Originals directly through the Apple TV app, while the combination of Apple TV, Apple Arcade and iCloud+ gives the company a broader subscription proposition in one of Africa’s largest consumer markets.
