Founded in 2016 by Tunisian fashion designer Anissa Meddeb, Anissa Aida is a womenswear and accessories label exploring the intersection of North African heritage and East Asian aesthetics. Educated at Parsons School of Design in New York, with further experience at Central Saint Martins in London, Meddeb draws inspiration from traditional Tunisian garments such as the caftan, jebba and djellaba, alongside Japanese silhouettes including the kimono. The result is a distinctive design language built around architectural cuts, geometric details, relaxed tailoring and minimalist sophistication.

Produced in Tunisia, the label’s collections feature contemporary dresses, shirts, outerwear, trousers, knitwear and leather accessories. Its creative philosophy places equal importance on cultural preservation and modern wearability, with an emphasis on sustainable sourcing, ethical production and collaborations with local artisans. In 2018, Meddeb received the Open My Med Prize from Maison Mode Méditerranée, while her collections have been presented at fashion events in cities including Tunis, Paris, London and Berlin. Through this approach, Anissa Aida brings traditional craftsmanship into conversation with contemporary international fashion.
