Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has received Nigerian chef, restaurateur and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci at Government House in Uyo, commending her for her record breaking culinary achievements and the recognition she has brought to the state. According to the Akwa Ibom State Government, Governor Eno hosted Baci on September 16 and praised her bold and adventurous spirit, saying her success demonstrates how determination and courage can help individuals overcome barriers. The governor also encouraged the Akwa Ibom born chef to continue promoting the state through her work and international profile.
The visit also highlighted the connection between Hilda Baci’s growing influence in the Nigerian food and hospitality industry and Akwa Ibom’s efforts to promote tourism, investment and its cultural identity. Speaking after the meeting, Baci praised the pace of infrastructure development in Akwa Ibom, the state’s peaceful environment and its investment opportunities, describing the state as “amazingly beautiful”.
