Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni have hosted Nigerian cleric Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, at State House Entebbe ahead of the consecration of Museveni’s daughter, Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, as a bishop, as reported by UG Diplomat and TVC News. The meeting brought together Uganda’s First Family and one of Africa’s most prominent Christian leaders.
Museveni welcomed Adeboye and other international guests who travelled to Uganda for the ceremony, scheduled to take place in Maya. During the meeting, the Ugandan president spoke about Christianity’s contribution to African society, particularly its teachings on love, forgiveness and peaceful coexistence.
Rwabwogo, who leads Covenant Nations Church, is the daughter of President Museveni and First Lady Janet. Her elevation to the episcopate represents a significant moment for Uganda’s Christian community and comes after other international evangelists, including Bishop Dr LaDonna C. Osborn, also visited the Museveni family ahead of the consecration.
Adeboye’s presence adds further significance to the ceremony, reflecting the growing connections between prominent Christian leaders across Africa. His visit also highlights the role of faith networks in creating relationships that extend beyond individual churches and national borders.
