Samsung Electronics has expanded its presence in India’s premium residential market by deploying its Smart Air Care and WindFree Cooling solutions at The Orchard, an ultra-luxury residential development by Central Park in Gurugram. According to Samsung Newsroom, the project will equip more than 300 luxury residences with approximately 3,000 AI-enabled HVAC units, marking one of the company’s largest high-end residential climate solution deployments in India.
The integrated system combines Samsung’s WindFree™ Cooling technology, PM1.0 air purification, SmartThings connectivity, and AI-powered Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology to deliver intelligent temperature control, improved indoor air quality, and enhanced energy efficiency. Samsung said the solution has been specifically designed to address the challenges of India’s urban environment, including rising temperatures, air pollution, and growing demand for connected, energy-efficient homes.
The installation is powered by a 4,864-horsepower AI-enabled VRF infrastructure, allowing residents to monitor and manage indoor climate remotely through the SmartThings platform while optimizing energy consumption using artificial intelligence. Samsung noted that Gurugram, one of India’s fastest-growing technology and business hubs, represents a strategic market for premium residential cooling solutions due to its expanding luxury housing sector and extreme summer temperatures, which frequently exceed 45°C.
For Samsung, the project reinforces its ambition to strengthen its position in the global HVAC market by combining AI, smart connectivity, and sustainable cooling technologies. Industry observers say demand for intelligent climate-control systems is rising rapidly across premium real estate as developers increasingly integrate smart home features into luxury residences. The Gurugram deployment highlights how AI-driven building technologies are becoming an important differentiator in modern residential developments, particularly in fast-growing urban markets.
