In 2004, she founded Aksal Holding, securing franchise rights for some of the world’s leading fashion and luxury brands, including Armani, Fendi, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Zara, Banana Republic, Massimo Dutti, Pull & Bear, and Gap. Her strategic vision and operational excellence have enabled Aksal to become Morocco’s premier luxury and lifestyle retail company.

Salwa played a central role in the development of Morocco Mall in Casablanca in 2011, one of Africa’s largest shopping centres. The mall hosts flagship stores of top global brands and has become a destination for lifestyle, entertainment, and commerce. Through Aksal Holding, Salwa has significantly contributed to creating employment opportunities and developing a skilled workforce in Morocco’s retail and service sectors.

Her commitment to nurturing talent is reflected in the establishment of the AKSAL Academy, which trains professionals for careers in retail, and in launching Yan&One, a cosmetics brand that blends international quality with Moroccan identity. These initiatives demonstrate her dedication to sustainable business practices and local empowerment.

Salwa’s achievements have earned her widespread recognition. She received the Arab Woman of the Year Award for Business Achievement and has repeatedly featured on the Business of Fashion BoF 500 list and Forbes Middle East’s Top 100 Most Powerful Businesswomen, ranking 23rd in 2025.
