Poju Oyemade Bridging Faith, Leadership, and National Transformation

Poju Oyemade has become one of Nigeria’s most influential Christian leaders, known for his ability to connect faith with practical living, entrepreneurship, and nation-building. As the Senior Pastor and founder of The Covenant Nation, he has spent over three decades teaching and inspiring individuals to apply spiritual principles in ways that impact their families, careers, and communities.

Born on May 8, 1968, in Ibadan, Nigeria, Oyemade’s calling to ministry took shape while he studied Applied Physics and Electronics at the University of Lagos. His dedication to service expanded into full-time ministry after being ordained by Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Ministries Worldwide, laying the foundation for his lifelong commitment to spiritual mentorship and societal engagement.

In 1994, he founded Covenant Christian Centre, which later evolved into The Covenant Nation, a modern congregation with multiple centres across Lagos and a growing online presence. His ministry emphasizes practical discipleship, helping believers integrate biblical principles into everyday life, business, and leadership.

Beyond congregational work, Oyemade convenes impactful initiatives such as the World Faith Believers Convention (WOFBEC), which brings together global teachers to mentor the next generation of leaders, and The Platform Nigeria, a non-political forum held on national holidays that convenes public, business, and community leaders to discuss strategies for national development.

He also hosts Insights for Living and The Quantum Leap, televised programs that extend his influence across Africa and the United Kingdom, delivering faith-based guidance to millions of viewers. These platforms reinforce his philosophy that faith should inform every aspect of life, from personal growth to civic engagement.

Oyemade’s work has garnered national recognition. In 2023, the President of Nigeria commended him on his 55th birthday for his innovative leadership and contributions to societal development through faith-based initiatives that empower youth, entrepreneurs, and communities.

Poju Oyemade embodies the fusion of spiritual guidance and practical action. Through ministry, media, and public engagement, he continues to shape a generation of Nigerians, showing that faith, when coupled with vision and leadership, can drive personal transformation and constructive national impact.
