Moremi Wildlife Reserve: The Living Heart of Botswana’s Wilderness

Covering nearly a third of the Okavango Delta, Moremi Wildlife Reserve is often hailed as one of Africa’s most beautiful and diverse protected areas. Nestled in the north of Botswana, the reserve blends permanent waterways, seasonal floodplains, and golden savannahs, creating habitats that sustain an extraordinary variety of wildlife.

Home to the Big Five, as well as wild dogs, cheetahs, hippos, and over 400 bird species, Moremi offers one of the continent’s richest safari experiences. Visitors can explore by 4×4, mokoro canoe, or on foot, witnessing close encounters with elephants in the lagoons or prides of lions roaming the grasslands.

Celebrated for both its biodiversity and its conservation success, Moremi Wildlife Reserve is a jewel of Botswana’s natural heritage, a place where wilderness remains timeless, untamed, and profoundly moving.
