Knorr Jollof Fest 2026 Celebrates Nigeria’s Smokey Party Jollof and Cultural Heritage

Knorr Jollof Fest 2026 once again celebrated the authenticity and enduring appeal of Nigeria’s signature Smokey Party Jollof Rice, bringing together thousands of food lovers for a vibrant showcase of culture, creativity, music, and community. Held under the theme “For The Culture” at Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island, Lagos, the festival attracted attendees from across generations and backgrounds, reaffirming food’s unique role in uniting Nigerians through shared experiences. As highlighted by Unilever Nigeria and reported by The Guardian Nigeria, the annual event continues to serve as a platform for celebrating Nigeria’s rich culinary heritage while creating memorable cultural experiences.

A major highlight of this year’s festival was the unveiling of Knorr Smokey Party Jollof Seasoning, an innovation inspired by the distinctive flavour of traditional party jollof. According to Damilola Dania, Foods Demand Creation Lead at Unilever Nigeria Plc, the product was developed to help consumers recreate the rich, smoky taste that has long been associated with celebrations and family gatherings. The seasoning, created with insights from experienced Nigerian caterers and chefs, combines sun-dried tomatoes, herbs, and carefully selected spices to deliver the authentic flavour that has become synonymous with Nigerian party cuisine.

The festival offered a wide range of immersive attractions, including the Knorr Herbs and Spice Garden, Vendor Village, Jollof Sampling Station, Fuji Dome, VIP Lounge, and the Gist and Jollof Podcast Studio hosted by Temisan Emmanuel (Taymesan). Visitors also enjoyed live cooking demonstrations, cultural installations, food tastings, interactive experiences, and a headline performance by Adekunle Gold, creating an atmosphere that blended entertainment with culinary excellence. Organisers noted that the festival reflects Knorr’s broader commitment to combining consumer insight, innovation, and cultural relevance to strengthen connections with Nigerians.

Following its successful Lagos edition, Knorr Jollof Fest 2026 will continue its nationwide tour with upcoming events in Abuja on July 12 and Port Harcourt on July 19. As the festival expands across Nigeria, it continues to reinforce the country’s rich food culture while celebrating the traditions, creativity, and shared moments that make jollof rice more than just a meal, it remains a powerful symbol of community and national identity.
