Africa’s top music stars were honoured at the 9th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), held in Lagos, Nigeria, spotlighting excellence across the continent’s music industry. Tanzanian singer Jux claimed the Best Male Artiste in Eastern Africa, while Nigerian star Yemi Alade’s “You Are” from the animated series Iyanu won Best Soundtrack in a Movie, Series or Documentary, showcasing her versatility, according to ChannelsTv.
The awards also recognised artists from North, West, Central and Southern Africa, reflecting AFRIMA’s pan‑African focus, as highlighted by Okay News. Performances and appearances across the event underscored the vibrancy and growing influence of African music globally.
