Foxconn Profit Rises 35% as AI Demand Drives Second Quarter Growth

Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry, reported a 35% year on year increase in second quarter net profit to T$59.97 billion ($1.86 billion), beating analysts’ expectations of T$58.8 billion. According to Reuters, the April to June performance was driven by continued strong demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure, reinforcing the company’s position as a major supplier of AI servers and other advanced computing equipment.

Foxconn, the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer and a major manufacturing partner for Nvidia and Apple, has benefited from the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure spending. The company said it expects AI server demand to remain strong and maintained its forecast for strong revenue growth in 2026. Foxconn is also expanding AI server production capacity, including through new facilities in Mexico and Texas, as it seeks to meet growing demand while diversifying its manufacturing footprint.

The results underline the growing commercial impact of the global AI investment cycle on manufacturers throughout the technology supply chain. For investors and businesses, Foxconn’s performance provides another indication that demand for AI computing infrastructure remains a major growth driver, while its geographic expansion highlights the industry’s broader shift toward more diversified production networks. The company is also seeking to expand its presence in electric vehicles as it looks beyond its traditional consumer electronics business.

Looking ahead, Foxconn’s ability to sustain growth will depend heavily on the pace of global AI infrastructure investment, server demand and its execution of capacity expansion plans. With major technology companies continuing to increase spending on AI computing, the company’s latest results strengthen the outlook for manufacturers positioned across the AI hardware supply chain.
