Nigeria’s Dangote Petroleum Refinery has issued tenders to sell cargoes of gasoil (diesel) and jet fuel for loading in March, a trade source said, citing a tender document summary reported by Reuters.
According to Nairametrics, the refinery is offering up to 44,000 metric tons of jet fuel for loading between March 20 and March 22, alongside at least 40,000 metric tons of gasoil with a maximum sulphur content of 50 parts per million, scheduled for loading between March 15 and March 30.
The refinery, owned by Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote, is designed to process about 650,000 barrels of crude oil per day, making it the largest single-train refinery in the world and a major new supplier of refined petroleum products to global markets.
The company did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the tender, MarketScreener reported, but the sales underscore the refinery’s expanding presence in international fuel trading as production continues to ramp up.
