Chelsea FC Set for Historic Lagos Visit in May

English Premier League giants Chelsea F.C. are set to make a historic first-ever visit to Lagos, Nigeria in May 2026, marking a major milestone for football fans across the country, as reported by Vanguard Nigeria.

The visit forms part of the club’s global fan engagement campaign, “The Famous CFC”, an initiative designed to strengthen its connection with international supporters. As highlighted by Daily Sports Nigeria, Lagos has been selected as a key destination in the programme’s 2025–26 calendar, reflecting Nigeria’s importance to Chelsea’s global fan base.

Organisers say the event will feature a weekend of immersive fan experiences, including live match watch parties, interactive sessions, and exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities. Former Chelsea and Super Eagles star Victor Moses is expected to headline the visit, engaging fans through Q&A sessions and special appearances, as noted by Vanguard Nigeria.

The initiative underscores Chelsea’s long-standing relationship with Nigerian football culture, with the country consistently ranking among the club’s largest and most passionate supporter bases worldwide, according to insights shared by Daily Sports Nigeria.
