Located on the Pan-Atlantic University campus in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, the Yemisi Shyllon Museum of Art (YSMA) is Nigeria’s first privately funded university art museum and one of the most important cultural institutions in West Africa. Established in 2019, it was founded through the vision and extensive donation of art collector Prince Yemisi Shyllon, whose collection forms the backbone of the museum’s holdings.

The museum presents a wide-ranging collection that spans traditional, modern, and contemporary African art, featuring works from iconic Nigerian masters such as Ben Enwonwu, Uche Okeke, Bruce Onobrakpeya, and El Anatsui, alongside emerging contemporary voices. Housed in a striking modern architectural space designed for immersive viewing, YSMA functions as both a cultural archive and an educational hub, positioning itself as a key destination where Nigerian heritage, artistic innovation, and academic research intersect.
