Morocco has mobilized emergency aid to support communities affected by unusually harsh winter conditions, the country’s Ministry of Interior said, according to Reuters.
Authorities reported that heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures have disrupted transport, electricity, and water supply in several northern and central regions, prompting rapid deployment of relief teams and resources, Reuters added.
The government emphasized that the emergency response includes food supplies, heating equipment, and temporary shelters to ensure vulnerable populations are protected, with officials noting that monitoring and support will continue as conditions persist, according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior.
