Frank Ileogben, popularly known as Frank iTom, is a Nigerian digital content creator, storyteller, creative director, brand influencer and creative consultant redefining how visual storytelling engages audiences across digital platforms. Recognised for his seamless video transitions, fashion driven content and imaginative visual effects, he has developed a distinctive creative identity that blends movement, illusion, styling and entertainment. Through his ability to transform ordinary scenes into visually captivating experiences, Frank has built a substantial digital audience while establishing himself as a creative partner for brands seeking more engaging ways to communicate their stories.

His journey into the creative industry began long before his emergence as a digital personality. Originally from Owan West in Edo State, Frank spent much of his formative years in Benin City before studying at Delta State University, Abraka, where he graduated in 2007. He later obtained a master’s degree in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology from the University of Benin. His professional experience included work in corporate communications, branding and communications management, including roles connected to Sahara Group and Ikeja Electric. He also explored graphic design, photography and dance, developing a combination of creative and communication skills that would eventually shape his approach to digital storytelling. Although his academic background was in the sciences, his growing interest in creative expression gradually redirected his professional ambitions.

The turning point came during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, when Frank participated in the Bop Daddy social media challenge inspired by Nigerian rapper Falz. His creative interpretation gained significant attention after Falz shared the video, introducing his work to a much wider audience. What began as an experimental social media post soon developed into a consistent creative practice. Rather than relying solely on conventional dance videos, Frank began developing increasingly elaborate transitions involving costume changes, visual illusions, choreography and carefully coordinated editing. His ability to make transformations appear seamless earned him the nickname associated with his craft, the King of Transitions. His collaborations with prominent Nigerian entertainers, including Funke Akindele, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Osas Ighodaro, Kate Henshaw and Iyabo Ojo, further expanded his visibility and demonstrated the commercial possibilities of his creative style.

Beyond his personal content, Frank has translated his creative abilities into brand storytelling and professional production through Frank iTom Studios. The creative studio works across brand storytelling, media production, content strategy, social media campaigns, creative direction and television commercials. His portfolio includes collaborations with local and international brands, using fashion, movement, humour and visual effects to create content that attracts attention while communicating a brand’s identity. His fashion content, in particular, demonstrates how styling and visual transitions can become part of a broader storytelling experience rather than simply showcasing clothing. In 2023, he received the Force of Creative Arts Award at the TrendUp Awards, recognising his contribution to the creative industry.

An important dimension of Frank’s work is his commitment to sharing the knowledge behind his craft. Through Introduction to Transitions with Frank iTom, he developed an educational programme designed to teach aspiring creators the techniques involved in producing seamless video transitions and engaging visual content. The initiative grew from repeated questions about how he achieved his signature effects and his belief that creative knowledge should be shared rather than kept exclusively. He has also organised masterclasses and learning sessions for emerging creators. His interest in developing creative communities extends to the Frank iTom Movie Club, an initiative built around his passion for cinema, film appreciation and conversations about Nollywood productions.
Frank iTom’s journey reflects the expanding possibilities of Nigeria’s digital creative economy, where technical skill, originality and storytelling are increasingly valuable to entertainment and commercial communication. From his early experiences in corporate communications to becoming a recognised digital creator and creative consultant, he has built a career around making visual ideas engaging and accessible. His work demonstrates that content creation can extend beyond social media visibility into professional production, brand development, education and creative entrepreneurship. As he continues to explore new storytelling formats and opportunities across the entertainment industry, Frank is building a creative identity defined not just by the transitions audiences see on screen, but by the imagination, technical discipline and storytelling principles behind them.
