Nigerian-born, UK-based fashion designer Victory Izeoma Worgu is redefining African elegance in contemporary fashion through her brand, Zeera Culture. Founded in 2018, Zeera Culture blends traditional African fabrics with modern silhouettes, creating versatile designs that resonate in corporate, casual, and international settings.
Victory’s journey into fashion is deeply personal. While studying Human Anatomy in Nigeria, she discovered a passion for African textiles and the need to see them represented beyond cultural events. Combining her creativity with the discipline and precision she honed as a registered nurse in the UK, Victory launched Zeera Culture to give women globally the opportunity to embrace their heritage with confidence.

“Fashion became my creative voice and my way of telling African stories to the world,” Victory explains. Her brand philosophy, “African Fabrics Meets Modern Fashion,” is evident in collections that celebrate cultural identity while appealing to a global audience. Zeera Culture has been featured at major platforms, including The Roll Showcase in London, supported by the British Council, as well as runway presentations in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.
Victory is currently developing her next Afro-fusion collection, which focuses on sustainability, textile innovation, and the representation of African aesthetics in corporate and luxury fashion. She is also expanding Zeera Culture’s digital footprint and preparing to strengthen the brand’s international retail presence. Upcoming projects include a London showcase and a mini-collection presentation emphasizing modern African workwear, alongside her “Wear Africa With Pride” fashion empowerment campaign.

Building a fashion brand while pursuing a career in healthcare came with challenges. Limited resources, sourcing constraints, and balancing dual professions demanded resilience and discipline. Yet, Victory’s determination has positioned Zeera Culture as a recognized Afro-fusion brand that has drawn attention from influential women, media personalities, and professional communities across Africa and Europe.
“Stay true to your creative identity. Trends fade, but originality carries you into longevity,” Victory advises aspiring designers. Her personal motto, “Wear your identity boldly,” reflects her belief that fashion should empower and tell a story, particularly for African women navigating global spaces.
As Zeera Culture continues to grow, Victory aims to champion African-inspired fashion in corporate environments across the UK and Europe, mentor emerging designers, and elevate Afro-fusion fashion as a symbol of cultural pride and professional elegance worldwide.
