Exquisite Magazine successfully hosted the much-anticipated Wellness & Style Weekend on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the GAC Motor Showroom, Victoria Island, Lagos. Themed “Self-Love: The New Love Language”, the one-day lifestyle and wellness experience brought together thought leaders, wellness enthusiasts, and style brands in an inspiring celebration of self-care, fashion, and holistic living.
The convener and host, Dr. Tewa Onasanya, Mindset Stylist and Founder of Exquisite Magazine and the ELOY Awards Foundation, opened the event with a stirring welcome address. She emphasized the importance of self-love as the foundation for personal and professional growth. According to her, self-love is not selfish; it is the foundation upon which success, happiness, and resilience are built. She explained that the Wellness & Style Weekend was created to remind everyone to honour their bodies, nurture their minds, and express their authentic selves through style and wellness.

The day featured a rich line-up of sessions led by distinguished speakers. Priyanka Bagaria of The Happiness Centre shared practical tools on mindful self-care and compassion practices. Isioma Okolo, Global Leadership and Wellbeing Strategist, inspired attendees through her session on nourishing the body and soul while embracing authenticity. Ifeyinwa Okafor, Certified Wholeness Coach and founder of Thrive3sixty International, explored the modern woman’s guide to living fully, while Yewande Banire provided insights on balancing hormones and women’s health. In her style-focused session, Dr. Onasanya guided participants through a wardrobe energy audit, linking fashion choices to mindset, personal identity, and confidence.
The event was marked by engaging and interactive highlights including a nourishing lunch experience, wellness games, raffle draws, mini pamper breaks, and networking opportunities. One of the most memorable activities was the collective recitation of the Wellness Pledge, where participants committed to prioritizing self-care, resilience, and authenticity in their daily lives. Reflecting on the experience, Isioma Okolo noted that the gathering was more than just an event but a movement reminding women that authenticity is the new standard of beauty and power.

Attendees also enjoyed wellness-packed goody bags containing cordless skipping ropes, curated skincare products, and scented candles. Membership into the Exquisite Club was another benefit extended to participants, providing ongoing access to wellness resources and a like-minded community. Speaking about the event’s impact, Ifeyinwa Okafor remarked that every woman present left with practical tools to live fully, embrace balance, and radiate confidence from within.
The Wellness & Style Weekend was powered by GAC Motor, Beauty by AD, and Imperfectly Awesome, with strong partnership support from LagosMums, The Happiness Centre, Crest Africa, Empire Magazine, Talented Women Network, and STV, and media partnership from WFM 91.7.
Exquisite Magazine’s initiative underscored its mission to empower individuals through wellness and style. In her closing words, Dr. Onasanya reminded participants that, when we embrace self-love, we empower not only ourselves but also the communities and generations that follow.
