US Signs Health Agreement with Eswatini to Boost Public Health Initiatives

The United States has signed a new health cooperation agreement with Eswatini aimed at strengthening the country’s public health systems, particularly in HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment programs. According to Reuters, the pact is part of the Biden administration’s broader global health strategy to support African nations in enhancing healthcare delivery.

Eswatini’s Ministry of Health highlighted that the agreement will provide technical support, capacity building, and access to additional funding for local health initiatives. The ministry noted that the partnership aligns with national priorities to improve health outcomes and expand access to essential services.

US officials said the agreement also emphasizes data-driven approaches and community-based interventions, enabling the kingdom to track progress effectively and ensure sustainable results. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to advancing health security and strengthening healthcare systems in Africa,” a US State Department spokesperson said.
