Prime Video has renewed Neagley, the Reacher spinoff starring Maria Sten, for a second season, extending the growing television universe built around Lee Child’s bestselling Jack Reacher novels, according to Deadline and Variety. The renewal comes just weeks after the series premiered on September 16, with all eight episodes released following the fourth season finale of Reacher. Sten stars as Frances Neagley, a Chicago private investigator and former member of the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit alongside Jack Reacher, played by Alan Ritchson.
The renewal follows a strong early performance for Neagley on Prime Video. Amazon reported that the series reached 40 million viewers globally within its first 13 days, making it the fourth most viewed original series debut in Prime Video history and placing its first season among the platform’s 10 most viewed original seasons. International audiences accounted for 52 percent of viewership, with the United Kingdom, Germany and Brazil among the strongest markets outside the United States. The series also stars Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph and Jasper Jones, with Ritchson appearing as Reacher in a guest role.
Neagley gives Prime Video another franchise property capable of expanding the Reacher brand beyond its central protagonist. Created by Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton, the series follows Neagley after the suspicious death of a close friend leads her into a dangerous investigation, drawing on her military experience and connection to Reacher. Prime Video has not yet announced a release date or detailed storyline for Season 2, but the renewal arrives shortly after Reacher itself received a sixth season order, reinforcing the platform’s commitment to building a broader action franchise around Child’s characters.
